About US

We provide high quality, naturalistic landscape design, landscape contracting and landscape management services to anyone that is willing to compensate us accordingly. We act primarily as a residential design-build contractor. Our 20+ years in business, our ideas, our expertise/education and our skill level is unique to our industry and to the Kansas City market. We take great pride in doing our work “the right way” and we place great emphasize on maintaining quality in all aspects of our work. We have very high standards of workmanship and we provide the absolute best quality materials and plants (some grown by us). Finally, we excel at providing outstanding customer service.
All of our work comes to us through referrals from builders, architects, interior designers and existing clients. Communication with our clients is very important to us. We want to have open and continual input from our clients whether they are long term landscape management clients or whether we are working on a detailed landscape project for their home. We take great pride in our communication and our service after a project is completed. We stand behind our work and we honor our warranty without hesitation.
Troy

Troy Gormally  - President

Troy started working in a nursery in Tulsa at the age of 14 and began at an early age to develop his green thumb. He continued to work at Brady Nursery in Wichita, KS throughout high school and college. He graduated from Kansas State University in May of 1992 with a B.S. degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design. Troy started Natural Creations in the fall of 1996 following 4 years with Hermes Landscaping of Lenexa, KS. He is proud of the fact that he was “broke” at the time and without a truck. Nonetheless, he persisted. He now oversees all aspects of our operation, but specializes in designing new landscape projects. Troy tends to his record/jukebox collection in his spare time and enjoys fishing in Minnesota whenever time permits. Everyone knows, as well, that he has a soft spot for dogs in need of adoption.

Jerry Lehmann  - Vice president

Jerry has been with Natural Creations since 1997. His combined B.S. and M.S. degrees in Horticulture from Kansas State University allow him to claim to be the most highly educated person on our staff. Jerry spent time prior to his work here with Family Tree Nursery as Assistant Greenhouse Manager. He also spent time at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana managing their greenhouses. Jerry currently oversees all of our seasonal color projects. He also wears multiple hats including acting as our accounts payable and receivable departments. In other words, he is in charge of the office. Finally, he is also in charge of payroll and, for that reason alone, is well respected among our employees. In his spare time, Jerry tends to his massive plant collection and enjoys spending time with his dogs.
ScottMeyer

Scott Meyer  - Landscape Designer

Scott comes to us from Kingman, KS. He graduated from high school in Wichita and joined the Air National Guard immediately thereafter. He continued duty for six years while attending Kansas State University where he earned his B.S in Horticulture in the winter of 2017. Scott completed numerous summer internships in the landscape field while attending college. After graduating, Scott moved to the Kansas City area in the summer of 2018 and began working for Natural Creations in September of 2018 as a Landscape Design Assistant. He spends most of his day’s keeping Troy and Jerry organized while assisting them with their daily work activities. He has recently began co-designing landscape projects with Troy. Scott likely has the best computer skills of our group and he is well versed at computer aided landscape design.

Genaro Cruz  - Project Supervisor

Genaro joined Natural Creations in 1999. He started as an inexperienced, hard working, young man in a landscape labor position. He ultimately matured into a fine person whose abilities and skills continue to grow to this day. Genaro, who was originally from Mexico, where his mother still resides, became an official U.S. citizen a few years back. He is married to his wife, Rhonda and they reside in Kansas City, KS with their two sons, Emiliano and Alex. Genaro is capable of doing nearly everything when it comes to landscaping. He specializes in landscape lighting installation and service, but he is also very good at designing and installing seasonal color. If you have been working with us for a while, you have come to know his work ethic and smile. Genaro loves to build things for his family and for others. He is a bit particular and fussy on occasion and that is what makes him a perfect fit for our operation.
